Raising prayer flags is a unique traditional Tibetan spiritual custom which not only benefits oneself but all others too. Named in Tibetan after the windhorse (Lungta) which is usually present on each flag, it usually carries all the beneficial prayers to heaven and the universe to bring good fortune to everyone.  Consisting of 5 primary colors which represents the 5 elements of the cosmos, they make a colorful display as they’re raised and hung as high as possible among the trees and in places high enough for wind to blow them and the wind horse to carry the prayers to heaven.
