White as the autumn moon, his mane is the colour of Tibet’s pristine lakes and his roar symbolizes the sound of Emptiness, the essence of the Buddhist doctrine. He prances about, usually followed by his squeaky cubs who roll around in the snow. Sometimes he descends into the human realm, where he uplifts thrones and ornaments wall paintings.
